Imani McGee-Stafford
Imani McGee-Stafford is a self-described unicorn. She focuses on destigmatizing mental health, all things related to being a student-athlete, navigating life post sexual violence, and following your purpose. She is an abuse survivor, mental health advocate, poet, lawyer, business owner and philanthropist. Imani is a native of Inglewood, CA. She is most known for her basketball career which began at The University of Texas at Austin and has continued both in the WNBA and overseas. Her goal in life is to be whom she needed when she was younger. She uses basketball as a vehicle to teach self-confidence, determination, hope, and purpose to young women and girls. She uses social media to share candid moments and have open conversations about mental health and sexual violence from the perspective of a black woman. But most of all, she leads with love and tries her best.
