In 2022, Hallmark Media openly addressed mental illness for the first time in the hit holiday movie "Three Wise Men and a Baby," with one of the three lead characters, played by Paul Campbell, suffering from acute social anxiety. In this panel discussion, Paul and Kimberley Sustad, a co-writer on the film who also makes a cameo, discuss why they incorporated this storyline into the film, talk about their lived experiences with anxiety, and explore how addressing conditions like anxiety with positivity on screen has the power to help destigmatize mental illness and make those suffering feel less alone.
